Over the past year Matt Filipkowski has overseen a large barn construction project at my home. Matt was nothing short of a blessing to us as this barn was a big project. He took extra time to make “mock ups” for me to look at and he went the extra mile to help me think through how a decision would affect the overall function of the space. He helped me with everything from plumbing choices to how many lumens of light I needed in a space, and he did all that with a servants heart. Another character trait I appreciate in Matt is his honesty and sense of personal standards. He expects a lot out of himself and your project will benefit from that. One small example of this is Matt made a tiny mistake that I never would have noticed. He could have easily never said anything to me and I wouldn’t have any idea there was an error; but it is not in his nature to do that. Not only did he point it out to me but he offered to fix the error on his own time. That is the kind of person he is. Matt approaches his work with the mind of an engineer as he was one for the last 25 years. He is detail oriented, intelligent and personable. Matts personal life reflects these traits as well as he has been married for 24 years and has 2 wonderful sons. I would not hesitate to recommend Matt to anyone who’s in need of a builder.
